Blog Post # 1 WE MEET

Ummm, excuse me, I didn’t want to interrupt that lady….but, you have lipstick on your teeth.

Willow, upon first meeting me

Fast Friendship. I knew Willow and I would be fast friends when we first met. Manette Tepe, Greatest Kids Event chairperson extraordinaire, was introducing everyone to each other at our kick-off gathering. As she was speaking, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that Willow kept looking at me. Silly me, I thought it was because she was so excited to meet me. And when Manette wrapped up her intros, Willow leaned in and said ” Ummm, excuse me, I didn’t want to interrupt that lady….but, you have lipstick on your teeth.”
I knew then that we would be fast friends. Because that is what friends do, right?

Shhhhhh… Right away, we were silly together. And, she is a hugger!! Me too. At our kick off event, they also had the teams do a scavenger hunt around the Club. It was so fun…but then I got into trouble! I was getting so excited and anxious, that apparently I was not using my indoor voice. And Willow said that I should probably “lower my voice”. This alone should win me the Greatest Big Kid title, right? Since I am the one acting like a kid the most

Blog Post #2 GREEN LASER TAG

Matching Shirts. We are all having so much fun with Willow. Avery and she asked to have several photos taken while they changed the sequins on their shirt to say one or the other ” Fierce” or “Strong”. It was too cute.

Blog Post #3 THE GREEN BOWLING BALL

Paying homage to the GREEN bowling ball.
We were definitely dressed the silliest at the bowling alley!

Blog Post #4 SOUTH BEND ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Of course there was just no other way to introduce the One-and-Only GREEN Merlin Buddy Bench than in a BIG WAY. And what’s bigger than a parade float?? Team Green hit the streets (really!) with our TEAM GREEN float on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the South Bend St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It was a TON OF FUN!!! And we had lots of visitors …even some you may recognize.
